The 12 Virtues of Christmas – Day 10: Faith

Faith — Believing Before You See

Faith is the thread running through every part of the Christmas story.

Mary believed what the angel told her, even when it seemed impossible. Joseph believed the dream, even when it risked his reputation. The shepherds believed the message of the angels and ran to see for themselves.

Faith is believing before you see. It’s trusting that God is working, even when you can’t trace Him. It’s walking in obedience while the outcome is still uncertain.

The people of the Christmas story didn’t have all the answers, but they had hearts that said yes. And through their yes, heaven touched earth.

Christmas invites us into that same faith. Faith that moves even when afraid. Faith that holds on when life feels shaky. Faith that believes Emmanuel — God with us — is more than enough.

Reflection

What promise has God spoken over your life that you need to believe again this Christmas?
